PAINTED PINE ROUND TABLES
These tables are made from old growth eastern white pine boards, that
were resawn from huge 1830 barn timbers. Wood such as this was
felled in virgin forests and has a much tighter grain pattern than modern
pine. While the wood has some defects and small checks, it is not as
rustic as tables made from weathered barn wood. The bases are painted
with milk paint that is based on an original formula from the 1800's. The
tables are hand rubbed with wax.
